What exactly is a PIR motion detector?

A PIR(Passive InfraRed) motion sensor is a small device that registers changes in infrared radiation emitted by the human body, or simply “sees” heat. Everything works on the principle of very precise temperature measurement. When a person appears in its field of view, the detector reacts. It can then set off an alarm, turn on a light or send a notification to your phone.

Where will passive infrared sensors work best?

PIR sensors are used to monitor living rooms, offices, hallways or utility rooms. Thanks to their wide viewing angle, they can cover a large part of the room, so one sensor is enough to protect the entire room.
