A private APN (Access Point Name) is a dedicated access point within a mobile operator's network that allows a company to use mobile internet within a closed, private IP address space. Unlike a standard public APN (e.g., offered by Orange or T-Mobile), transmissions via ITH Net Data LTE do not reach the public internet – all communication takes place within the secure, dedicated ITH network. This prevents data from being intercepted, and the connection maintains parameters comparable to those of a traditional VPN.
Data is transmitted exclusively within a dedicated private network, without exposure to the public Internet.
Private APN allows IP addresses to be assigned in the same space as the ITH fiber link, allowing for simple redundancy and seamless switching between links.
